White Negroni Recipe
Crystal clear, charcoal filtered Negroni is a thing
And quite a curious experience it is, but this riff on a Negroni is a cocktail in its own right and can be made in the home with a minimum of fuss.
Ingredients
30ml Suze
30ml Lillet Blanc
30ml Plymouth Gin
Method
- Pour the ingredients into an ice-filled glass and stir until chilled and the texture is rich
- Strain into an Old Fashioned glass containing a single large block of ice
- Garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit zest
From the cognoscenti
Invented by famed London mixologist Wayne Collins, the White Negroni retains the bittersweet aperitivo character by replacing sweet red vermouth with aromatised wine and Campari with Suze.
The citrus zesty richness of Plymouth gin adds great body but can be hard to find.
